Performed seasonal preventive maintenance on two 12-year-old heating and cooling systems, including an 80-point inspection on each unit, outdoor condenser coil cleaning, burner cleaning, and gas pressure adjustment to manufacturer specifications. Verified operating pressures with a dual port manometer and completed safety inspections on both systems to confirm safe, efficient operation.

Great Service
Performed a quality control inspection of the HVAC installation, including the thermostat and air handler. Found the thermostat wiring loosely bundled and not firmly seated at the terminals, while the air handler cabinet was properly mounted and secured, with intact panels and no signs of frost, rust, or cracking. Documented all conditions with photos.
Removed and recycled the existing equipment and installed a new Midea 3-ton inverter-driven heat pump condenser on a new pad, paired with a Midea 3-ton attic air handler with a 3 kW heat kit, connecting refrigerant lines, condensate drain, ductwork, and a dedicated electrical disconnect. Installed float switches for condensate overflow protection, a voltage range monitor, and a Midea smart thermostat, then completed full system startup and verified operation. Jobsite was cleaned and debris removed, and the system was enrolled in a preventative maintenance plan with an extended labor warranty.

Responded to a no-heat call on a 12-year-old system where the smart thermostat would not switch to heat mode. Inspected the electrical panel and verified the dedicated heat circuit breaker, then tested the system's capacitor with a True RMS clamp meter and electrical readings to evaluate the unit's electrical components and identify the cause of the thermostat/heat call failure.

Inspected the furnace burner assembly, gas valve, inducer motor, flue connections, and pressure switch, and verified electrical operation with a clamp meter.

Replaced the failed heat exchanger under warranty and reassembled the burner assembly, reconnecting all associated wiring and components. The old unit showed heavy rust and corrosion, with the perforated component clogged by debris, and the new part was installed in its place. System was restored to proper working configuration following the repair.

Performed preventive maintenance on two heating and cooling systems, including an 80-point inspection on each unit, outdoor coil cleaning, burner cleaning, gas pressure adjustment, and safety inspections. Tested the run capacitor with a clamp meter to verify capacitance within specification, and inspected the furnace burner compartment, blower assembly, and wiring, noting light surface corrosion and debris accumulation around the exposed cabinet.
Responded to a gas odor complaint and red-tagged gas supply on a 7-year-old system; the gas regulator was diagnosed as out of adjustment rather than failed, and outlet gas pressure was set to specification, verified with a digital manometer, and the burners were confirmed firing properly. Heavy corrosion was noted on the exterior gas piping and fittings at the outdoor unit and should be monitored or replaced, and the reported bedroom airflow concern was noted for further evaluation.
Thomas made a service call to our home on a Saturday, which was much appreciated. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and communicated very well with me. We had a clogged drain line and he took the time to show me exactly what caused our problem. He fixed the problem and checked out the rest of the system. I highly recommend both Dawsons Electric and Air and Thomas.

Our Dawson’s technicians, Santos & Jeff, arrived on time and were very friendly and courteous and went straight to work to determine how best to install our new mini-split HVAC system in our glass sunroom. The installation went well and the team cleaned both inside and out to leave a picture-worthy final product!
Had an issue with upstairs AC. I called Dawson‘s electric and they were able to come out diagnose the issue and fix it within a few hours. My service technician was Connor who did a great job explaining what was causing the issue his recommendations on fixing it and what we can do in the future to prevent it. Had an overall good experience.
